Pastor David Helton was born and raised in Mooresburg, Tennessee, he was saved in 1986 and was called to preach in 1994. David married his wife Kim in 1997 and they have been blessed with four sons. He serves currently as pastor.
The church was formed in 2006 as a church plant in an area with no Independent Baptist Churches. We are a friendly church that tries to make everyone welcome. We are not flashy at Higher Ground but just a country church with a sweet spirit.
